Kate Middleton and Prince William are back to work today after spending the last week off with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—and their first event back doubled as a date night. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge just arrived to the evening performance of Dear Evan Hansen on West End, which will benefit their Royal Foundation.
“Mental health is a key priority for The Royal Foundation, which has developed initiatives such as @GiveUsAShout and @heads_together,” the Kensington Palace Twitter wrote in announcing the couple’s appearance.
The two dressed sharply for the show, with Kate wearing a tweed Eponine dress with Jimmy Choo silver glitter heels and a matching clutch. William wore a navy suit.
Their appearance comes days after the Palace announced that William’s brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, would transition out of their senior royal family roles beginning on March 31.
The Palace announced a series of events for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the beginning of March, while they’re in the UK. The four are slated to reunite during the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on March 9, as it’s a royal family event all senior members of the family plan to attend.
Meghan, Harry, William, and Kate have not attended an event together since the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall in November. The couples were seated far away from each other.
Before that, the two couples’ last event together was Trooping the Colour in June, another royal family event, which all senior family members are expected to attend this year as well.
