Jennifer Lopez’s daughter, 12-year-old Emme Muñiz, made her big public singing debut at the Super Bowl in Miami in early February. It turns out her twin brother, Maximillian (Max) Muñiz, also has some talented pipes. On Friday, Lopez shared a video of Max singing in a performance of The Wizard of Oz.
In the musical, Max played the the coroner of Munchkinland, who informs Dorothy and the rest of Munchkinland that the Wicked Witch of the East is “not only merely dead, she’s really most sincerely dead.”
In the video, Max, dressed in official coroner’s garb, comes out to musically declare that the witch has, indeed, perished. “The littlest munchkin,” Lopez captioned the video.
This is actually not the first time we’ve seen Max bust out his singing skills. Last September, she posted a video of Max and Emme singing Vance Joy’s “Riptide” while his sister strummed along on the ukelele. As they finished their duet, Max smiled and said, “Let’s do that again. I liked it.” J.Lo, clearly impressed, captioned the video, “My heart can’t take it…”
It was Emme who got to show off her talents to millions of viewers across the U.S. At the Super Bowl, she got to sing a few lines of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” with her mom. Any normal 11-year-old might be a bundle of nerves on the Super Bowl stage, but according to Lopez, her daughter had no issue. “She has the performance gene where she doesn’t let it in her mind, how big it is or how it scares you,” Lopez said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “That’s what you have to do when you’re up there, you kind of have to control [yourself].”
