On Christmas day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended morning church service at St. Mary Magdalene Church with their three children, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3. Photos captured the Royal family leaving service in their car, wearing their holiday clothing. In 2019, George and Charlotte attended Christmas Day church service for the first time in Sandringham. This year, the Cambridges were joined by other members of their family, including the Duchesses’ parent, Carole and Michael Middleton.
Prince Charles and Camilla joined the Queen at Windsor Castle and attended morning church service at St. George’s Chapel along with the Earl and Countess of Wessex, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. The Queen was not at the service and was a “precautionary approach” she has been taking over the last six months due to rising COVID-19 cases.
The Cambridges sent a message out across social media about the precautions many have had to take this year due to coronavirus.

“This Christmas will be different to what so many of us had planned,” they wrote. “From those who are alone or having to isolate away from loved ones, to the incredible people supporting our NHS and caring for those most in need – we are thinking of you. W & C.”
On Christmas Eve, Middleton’s performance on the piano accompanying singer Tom Walker was broadcast on ITV, playing at Westminster Abbey.

“I thought she absolutely smashed the performance,” Walker said of Middleton’s playing. “It’s not easy to just jump behind a piano with a bunch of musicians you’ve never played with before and record live takes to camera, but she completely nailed it.”
