Chrissy Teigen, Janelle Monáe, Seth Rogan, and More Are Donating to Bail Funds

On Saturday, Chrissy Teigen tweeted that she was donating $100,000 to the bail-out funds of protesters around the country.

“In celebration of whatever the fuck maga night is, I am committed to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protestors across the country,” she wrote. When a Twitter user called the protesters “rioters and criminals in a now-deleted tweet,” Teigen responded: “Ooo they might need more money then. Make it $200,000.”

Teigen’s tweet came after Donald Trump tweeted: “The professionally managed so-called “protesters” at the White House had little to do with the memory of George Floyd. They were just there to cause trouble. The @SecretService handled them easily. Tonight, I understand, is MAGA NIGHT AT THE WHITE HOUSE???”

The brother of George Floyd, the man who was killed by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, started a GoFundMe “to cover funeral and burial expenses, mental and grief counseling, lodging and travel for all court proceedings, and to assist our family in the days to come as we continue to seek justice for George.”

Here is a list of how you can help as people continue to protest the unjust death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, and more.
