Channing Tatum Wrote Two Responses to a Commenter Comparing Jenna Dewan and Jessie J

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced their split in April 2018. It was sad, and we all swore we would never watch Step Up again. They had been married for nearly nine years and share one daughter, six-year-old Everly.

But time went on. Tatum began dating British singer Jessie J in the fall of 2018, and the two kept things going strong until December 2019, when they broke up. Fast-forward to January 2020, and Jessie J and Tatum are back on. On Friday, they posted a selfie in unicorn hats. The selfie was cute and all, but there was one particular comment under the photo that bothered Tatum.

The commenter posted: “Jenna looks better with you.” Tatum noticed, and he addressed the person.

“Hey Alex I don’t usually address s–t like this,” he wrote. “But you seem as good of a terrible happy people hating thoughtless person as any of them. Why don’t you seriously think about what you’re doing? It’s hurtful and I ain’t about it.”

He went on in a second comment: “If you can’t not be a horrible hateful person on my page and support the infinite and untouchable beauty and woman that Jess is… please kindly get TF out of here. No one wants you here. Especially me.”

The couple apparently just needed a little break before deciding that they wanted to keep things going.

“They took a few weeks apart but ultimately decided they really care about each other,” a source told E! News. “They are super giddy around each other.”

After the two split in December, Jessie J shared an emotional Instagram post. Her caption did not directly address the breakup but rather spoke to anyone who might be going through heartbreak of feeling alone. She wrote, in part:

“Time. Time is the gift. Time is the fear. Time is the magic. Time is the memories. Time is the change. Time is the pain. Time is the healing. Zoom out. Go somewhere where your world feels and looks small. Gain perspective. Lay in the sea. Walk to the top of a mountain. Drive to view point in a park. Look up at the stars. This isn’t to make you feel like your problems or sadness or the feelings you feel are not valid but to know you are NEVER Alone.”

Tatum wasn’t the only person involved to react to the comment. It appears that Dewan’s boyfriend, actor and musician Steve Kazee, shared a very telling meme in his Instagram story, per E! News. The meme was an image of Will Ferrell saying the words “Watch your mouth,” but it no longer appears on Kazee’s story.
