Cameron Diaz announced that she and Benji Madden secretly welcomed their first child, daughter Raddix, at the beginning of this year. Now, seven months later, she’s talking to Jimmy Fallon about how heavenly parenthood has been for them and how deeply she and Madden love their little girl.
Diaz called into The Tonight Show, and gushed about her time with Raddix in quarantine. “Heaven, it’s been heaven, Jimmy,” she started.
She then touched on how fast Raddix is growing. “Literally every single day, there’s just leaps and bounds and these things that happen,” she said. “She’s not the same baby that she was yesterday. Where was yesterday? Yesterday is literally gone, and today is a new day, and tomorrow will be a new day that she’s a completely different baby. But it’s so gratifying to actually get to see that growth and to be a part of it and to just let her be her and it’s just amazing. It’s the best thing that ever happened to both Benj and I. We’re just so happy.”
Raddix is already very into music, Diaz said: “When we go on car drives, Benj will put on some Afro-Cuban music, and she is in her car seat and her little legs are kicking. I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s my girl!'”
She added that Madden has written songs about Raddix. “That’s what I sing all day in my head, his songs to her,” Diaz said.
Raddix is also a huge fan of her dad’s music about her. “She just loves it,” Diaz said. “She just looks at her daddy and loves him so much. And it just makes my heart wanna explode.” You can watch Diaz’s full interview about Raddix below:
