BTS started one of the biggest days of their career in New York City, and they dressed impeccably for the occasion. The k-pop boy band released their new album Map of the Soul: 7 at midnight and were on the Today Show this morning promoting it. They were outside during the interview, and it gave them a chance to show off how they do outerwear.
The group stuck to dark, earthy tones, with Suga, Jungkook, V, and Jin all wearing black. Jimin wore a Celine burgundy varsity jacket while J-Hope kept it light up top in a white jacket and sweater. RM had the most vibrant print of the group, wearing a plaid peacoat with orange trim.

The boys later went to SiriusXM radio, where Jin tossed on a new, excellent white-trimmed blazer:
On the Today Show, RM explained why he believes BTS is as successful as it is: “It could be many reasons. You know, all the members, they’re so cute and attractive,” RM joked before saying more seriously, “but the most important thing is that music truly transcend language and nationalities and races, right? And you guys know this, right?”
He also spoke about the inspiration behind the album title. “The title [7] is because we’ve got seven members right here, as you see, and it’s been seven years since our debut,” he started. “This album is like a big statement and declaration that we admit our destiny, we emit our shadows and lights at the same time. We recognize our destiny and are up to task.”
Jimin spoke about how the group feels now that album is released. “We’ve been working on this album for a long time. We really like it. We’re super excited. It’s finally out!” he proclaimed.
With the album, the group released one new music video for their new single “On”. The dancing in it is mesmerizing:
