The user on Twitter complained, “Like she’s been wearing the same boots/ long shirt Combo for years….. we need the insta baddie,” then added, “she could easily stand out without wearing the same 2 outfits luv.”
Grande saw the comment thread and chimed in. It isn’t that she doesn’t wear other clothes; she just doesn’t post photos of herself in them because privacy is a thing some people, even A-list pop stars, crave. “Thank god I’m a singer then 😭 gimmeee a break,” she wrote. “I don’t like having my photo taken, I escape the paparazzi almost every time. Style clapback aside, Grande has been spending the past couple days teasing on her Instagram Story that she’s getting ready for her performance at the Grammys next weekend. The singer has five nominations this year: one for Record of the Year (“7 Rings”), Album of the Year (Thank U, Next), Best Pop Solo Performance (“7 Rings”), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Boyfriend”), and Best Pop Vocal Album (Thank U, Next).
Her performance at this year’s Grammys comes after she skipped last year’s because producers wouldn’t let her have the freedom she wanted in choosing the songs she’d like to perform on stage.
