Sofia Richie and her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick’s relationship may or may not ever become romantic again after their breakup in May, but Richie is still down to hang with her ex. The two were photographed together in Malibu on Fourth of July. The 21-year-old model adhered to California’s mandatory mask policy, wearing a mask in public with Disick. He wasn’t wearing one when photographed.
People got a little detail about what’s going on between them, with a source saying the former couple “spent a relaxing day in Malibu.” The source added that “they seemed happy together but more friendly than romantic.”
On May 27, E! reported the couple’s breakup, although its source was skeptical it would last for too long. “They are technically ‘split’ but Sofia has been in touch with Scott,” that source said.
“Sofia thinks Scott has a lot on his plate right now and thinks it’s best for them to be apart so he can focus on himself,” the source continued. “She is only looking out for him and his best interest and it was primarily her decision for them to split. Sofia has been spending time with her family and has taken majority of her stuff out of Scott’s house.”
That source added “it’s very likely they will reconcile.” This may be the first step toward that.
Richie and Disick’s outing comes shortly after dating rumors between him and his other ex Kourtney Kardashian emerged. The two flirted on Instagram and went to Wyoming together with their three kids. Kardashian even wore Disick’s shirt there.
A source spoke to People about how Richie felt about all that at the end of June, saying the Kourtney-Scott dating rumors did bother her. “It was a serious relationship, not some fling, and she was there for Scott through some tough times,” the outlet’s source said. “It hurts to see all the speculation about Scott and Kourtney, but she is so young and gets so much attention. She’ll be totally fine.” The source said generally, she is “still processing the breakup.”
