Held in Milan, Italy, from 19 to 22 February, the 15th edition of Esxence – The Art Perfumery Event, welcomed around 13,500 attendees from all over the world, a significant increase from the 12,000 visitors registered last year.
The international leading event dedicated to artistic perfumery hosted a parterre of 384 brands from 38 countries and a series of events, round tables and talks.
“This 15th edition has been the most successful ever,” said Maurizio Cavezzali, co-founder of Esxence and CEO of Equipe Exibit. “This year, there was a significant enhancement in the booths, with a 30% increasing request for nude areas, a clear sign of maturity of the brands, which have invested even more in originality and creativity in the presentation of their products.”
This edition was marked by a growing presence of brands from Asia, in particular from South Korea, Vietnam, China, Singapore and Japan, as well as by the ubiquitous presence of exotic fruits – such as mango, pineapple, banana and maracuja – among new fragrance launches.
Other hot trends included the rise of travel-friendly formats, the comeback of synthetic molecules, as well as olfactory notes fostering a state of inner well-being and psychophysical balance.
