International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) revealed its intention to construct a fresh fragrance creative hub in Mumbai, India. Situated advantageously in the Powai locality, it is anticipated to be completely functioning by the first six months of 2026.
Through this novel creative hub, IFF intends to strengthen its competence to engage with and cater to patrons within the fragrance industry, amid ongoing expansion in the Indian territory.
Per Ana Paula Teles de Mendonça, head of IFF Scent, India represents “one of the planet’s most vibrant marketplaces.” She emphasizes that by enlarging IFF’s presence in India, the upcoming Creative Center will bring the business nearer to domestic buyers, boosting its collaborative creation proficiencies in perfumes, and delivering “enhanced responsiveness“.
This growth augments the business’s domestic footprint by more than two times, reaching 3,650 square meters. The contemporary, technologically advanced site will accommodate over 100 staff members and incorporate cutting-edge laboratories, broad-ranging evaluation areas, and a sophisticated sensory assessment zone.
Apart from groundbreaking ideas, the site will be designed to motivate, presenting distinctive zones that nurture inventiveness and supply a setting of ease and distinction.
“The Indian perfume sector is progressing at an unparalleled rate — fueled by growing ambitions, a fondness for superior encounters, and a yearning for fragrances that embody uniqueness and sentiment,” conveyed Ramon Brentan, deputy head and regional general manager of IFF Scent for Greater Asia. “Our new creative center in Mumbai transcends being simply a facility; it symbolizes a location where imagination encounters science to develop perfumes that evoke self-assurance, ignite pleasure, and forge enduring recollections.“
