Blue Ivy Carter is days away from turning eight years old, and you can really tell Beyoncé’s little girl is growing up. Megan Thee Stallion had the privilege of spending New Year’s Eve with Queen Bey herself and Blue Ivy. Blue and Beyoncé posed in a photo booth photo with Megan, and Megan was kind enough to post two photos from the sesh for us all. Beyoncé looked amazing on New Year’s Eve…and Blue looked just like her mini me. The seven-year-old wore a black sequined outfit and had her hair straightened just like her mom’s.
She way chicer than most of us did at that age. But that’s only to be expected from the oldest child of Queen Bey:
Bey gave a rare new look at her twins Sir and Rumi Carter in the 2019 “Bey-Cap” video she shared yesterday.
In her ELLE interview that came out last month, Beyoncé spoke about how much raising her three kids means to her and how finding that right work-life balance can be hard.
A fan asked what stresses Bey out. The singer replied, “I think the most stressful thing for me is balancing work and life. Making sure I am present for my kids—dropping Blue off at school, taking Rumi and Sir to their activities, making time for date nights with my husband, and being home in time to have dinner with my family—all while running a company can be challenging. Juggling all of those roles can be stressful, but I think that’s life for any working mom.”
And when asked what brings her the greatest joy out of all the work she does as a singer ad businesswoman, Bey had a simple but poignant answer: “Being Blue, Rumi, and Sir’s mom.”
