Margot Robbie Wins ‘Babylon’ Premiere in Knitted Hooded Minidress

Margot Robbie made an entrance in a striking black look at the global premiere of Babylon last night.

The actress debuted one of her most daring red-carpet looks yet, wearing an asymmetrical hooded minidress by Alaïa featuring a halter neckline, a large opening in the center, and a long train on one side. She finished the sophisticated look simply with sheer black tights, black pointed-toe pumps, and layered silver bracelets.

For glam, Robbie looked lovely in a nest low bun with strands of hair quietly framing her face, and natural makeup, including a brown nude lip color.

The ensemble was put together by stylist Kate Young, who has previously worked with the actress, as well as with stars including Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, and Emily Ratajkowski.

The film premiere took place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Babylon chronicles the rise and fall of several various characters during Hollywood’s evolution from silent films to sound films in the late 1920s. Apart from Robbie, the cast includes Brad Pitt, Olivia Wilde, Tobey MaguireJames, and Diego Calva.

"It’s mad! I mean, when I read the script, I was like, this is like La Dolce Vita and Wolf of Wall Street had a baby—and I love it. But I was like, are we allowed to show that? Are we allowed to show that? I mean, there were so many scenes where I was like, a) I have no idea how I’m going to do that, and b) are we going to get away with this?" Robbie said of the film in a new interview with Variety.

Now that Babylon har premiered, Robbie is looking forward to the release of Barbie, the highly anticipated movie which she stars in with Ryan Gosling.
