Emma Stone Gives Birth to First Baby With Dave McCary

Emma Stone and Dave McCary secretly got married in 2o20, with both wearing gold wedding bands in recent sightings. Now, they’ve started a family. TMZ was told by multiple sources that Stone gave birth to the couple’s first child on Saturday, March 13, in the Los Angeles area. The baby’s gender and name are not known yet. The lack of detail about Stone’s baby is unsurprising though: Stone made a point to keep her pregnancy private, never commenting on reports she was expecting. She was last photographed very late in her pregnancy on March 5.

McCary and Stone got engaged in December 2019. They publicly announced the news on McCary’s Instagram with a ring selfie and rare shot of the couple. The two have kept their relationship largely private. (Stone has no social media and has generally avoided speaking about her love life in interviews.)

But Stone, 32, expressed an interest in settling down and starting a family in her 30s when she spoke to Jennifer Lawrence for her ELLE cover story in August 2018.

“My perspective about kids has changed as I’ve gotten older,” she started. “I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I’m never getting married, I’m never having kids. And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids.”

Stone compared her 20s to how she felt entering her 30s, telling Lawrence, “My twenties were a really interesting time, and there’s been a lot that has happened in these past 10 years, both positive and not as positive. It’s weird how much turning 30 crystallizes your life. Instead of just living the dreams that I had in my youth and getting to do the job that I love to do and making friends and going through all of that, it’s like, Now what do I actively want as an adult?”
