Less than 24 hours after Billie Eilish attended her first high school prom (courtesy of John Krasinski, who hosted a virtual one last night), the singer is at it again. Eilish performed at tonight’s big Together at Home concert thrown by Global Citizen to support the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 response fund. Eilish sang a cover of Bobby Hebb’s “Sunny” with her brother Finneas. Even though she shot the performance from quarantine, she made it personal, explaining at the beginning why she picked the song and sending well wishes to first responders at the end.
Bravo, Billie Eilish and Finneas. Their “Sunny” cover for #TogetherAtHome was sweet. pic.twitter.com/6SeNZZ8DY1

Eilish spoke to ELLE for its Women in Music issue last year about the importance of putting a full effort into her performances. “I would rather not do a show than do a mediocre version. I am one thousand percent serious,” she said. Eilish had sprained her ankle the day of her biggest L.A. show at the time. “Trash,” she said. “I’m telling you: I’m never going to cancel a show the day of. If I do, someone is allowed to slap me in the face. If I die? Okay, I get it. Buck up, Billie. Get the fuck up on that stage, and do your shit.”
She told ELLE that 2019 was the first time she felt content after suffering from depression in the past. “I haven’t been happy for years,” she said. “I didn’t think I would be happy again. And here I am—I’ve gotten to a point where I’m finally okay. It’s not because I’m famous. It’s not because I have a little more money. It’s so many different things: growing up, people coming into your life, certain people leaving your life. All I can say now is, For anybody who isn’t doing well, it will get better. Have hope. I did this shit with fame riding on my shoulders. And I love fame! Being famous is great, but it was horrible for a year. Now I love what I do, and I’m me again. The good me. And I love the eyes on me.”
