How Kate Middleton, Prince George, Louis, and Princess Charlotte Are Celebrating Easter 2020

This Easter, much of Europe and North America will celebrate Easter in quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic. Kate Middleton and Prince William’s family is no exception. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been staying at their Norfolk country home, Anmer Hall, with their three children: six-year-old Prince George, four-year-old Princess Charlotte, and almost-two-year-old Prince Louis. They will privately be celebrating the holiday there.

While the royal family has traditionally attended Easter service at St. George’s Chapel together, this year they will not, as everyone remains social distancing.

But Kate and William teased a bit about their Easter festivities during their Zoom engagement with Casterton Primary Academy. Their house has plenty of candy for the kids…and Prince William.

A teacher told the couple, “Hope there’s chocolate at your house as well.”

Kate and William laughed, and William told the teacher, “There will be a lot of chocolate being eaten here. Don’t worry.”

“You keep eating it,” Kate quipped, teasingly to William.

George, Charlotte, and Louis may also enjoy a traditional egg hunt at Anmer Hall. They’ve done so in the past. Kate revealed in 2018 that George and Charlotte went on an egg hunt that Easter morning; she had been pregnant with Prince Louis at the time. This year, he could join too.

Last Easter, Kate and William attended church service with the Queen. Kate wore a baby blue coat and hat.

Us Weekly ran a little update earlier this week about how Kate and her children have been spending their time in quarantine. “Kate bakes and decorates cakes with the kids [on] the weekend to keep them entertained,” a source told Us. “The kitchen is always a complete mess by the end of it, but it’s all part of the fun—that’s how Kate sees it. They also enjoy gardening together and planting seeds.”

A second source added that both parents are helping home-school their children while many schools are closed in the UK. “Kate is mainly in charge of the home-schooling and playtimes, but William is also very involved too,” the source said. “He teaches them lessons and organizes games.”
