What Lori Loughlin’s Daughters Olivia Jade and Bella’s Lives Are Like One Year After Scandal

Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli face up to 60 years in prison for allegedly paying $500,000 to make it appear that their daughters Olivia Jade and Bella were rowing team recruits to guarantee their admission into the University of Southern California. It’s been about a year since news broke that Lori and Mossimo were being charged. (They have since pled not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, bribery, and money laundering.) So what are their daughters’ lives like now, as they await their parents’ trial?

Well, they aren’t at USC anymore, or in college period. But their lives are essentially back to a celebrity kid kind of normal these days. The girls are living like influencers, particularly Olivia Jade, who was an active beauty vlogger before her mother was charged.

Olivia has since attempted to make a comeback on YouTube but reportedly feels restrained. A source told Us Weekly last month that “she’s trying to put on a brave face and go out and get back to her more normal routine, but she’s very upset that she can’t explain her side of the story without it impacting the case.”

But People’s Loughlin source says it’s no facade. The girls really are living regular, privileged lives now. “Olivia and Bella both have active lives,” the source explained. “They hang out with friends, go shopping and go out for lunch and dinner. It’s pretty typical lives for girls in their circle.”

Initially, Bella and Olivia avoided photographers. Not anymore: “Right after the college scandal broke, both girls were very low-key and avoided being photographed,” the source said. “But since Olivia is again active on social media, their lives have basically gone back to normal. They don’t avoid the paparazzi any more. They don’t seem to mind being photographed.” (Olivia and Bella were both photographed arriving at the Sunset Tower Hotel for dinner on the night of Jennifer Aniston’s birthday party there.)

These days, Bella and Olivia are giving themselves permission to “enjoy” their lives despite being worried about their parents’ legal fate. “They used to be very upset and worried about their parents,” the source said. “They are still concerned of course and it will probably get worse as they get closer to the trial date, but they still feel they need to go on with their lives. But for now, they are allowing themselves to enjoy life a little bit too.”
