Kate Middleton Debuts Bangs and Shorter Hair During Ireland Tour

Kate Middleton’s padded black headband hid part of the Duchess of Cambridge’s big new hair change during her Ireland royal tour. The Duchess now has curtain bangs and shorter hair. The bangs are more subtle than side-swept or blunt bangs, but were very clearly visible during her visit to Teagasc Animal & Grassland Research Centre at Grange, in County Meath, this afternoon.

Kate also took a couple inches off her length. Here’s her hair this morning during her visit to Extern in Dublin. It’s not quite a lob, but it’s definitely medium length. She wore it longer during her February appearances:

The Duchess of Cambridge will remain on her Ireland tour with Prince William the rest of today and tomorrow; they began their tour yesterday. Ahead of their visit, the Palace announced their trip will “focus on the relationship between [the UK and Ireland], and build on the theme of remembrance and reconciliation.” In addition to Dublin and County Meath, Kate and William will go to County Kildare and Galway.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Jigsaw, Ireland’s National Centre for Youth Mental Health, this morning. Kate brought back a 2008 coat for that engagement. She paired it with skinny jeans and her polka dot Equipment blouse.

Yesterday, the Duchess wore two green looks: first, a Catherine Walker emerald coat with a lime green print Alessandra Rich dress when she arrived in Dublin. For her final engagement of the day—a reception at the Gravity Bar in Guinness Storehouse, Kate wore a glittery deep green The Vampire’s Wife dress.
