The Italian supplier of primary packaging for cosmetics has emerged as the foremost entity in its field to secure the ItalyX certification. This distinction is an initiative led by the Italian publication Il Sole 24 Ore, in collaboration with Confindustria — Italy’s association representing industries and businesses — and Bureau Veritas.
This program recognizes Italian businesses that are notable for their dedication to domestic investment, artisanal skill, and superior manufacturing that originates from the country’s historical background.
As a family-operated enterprise spanning three generations with over 60 years in operation, Baralan Group has its main office in Trezzano sul Naviglio, situated near Milan. Although its foundations and production are firmly established within Italy—featuring four production locations and a dedicated research and development center—the business maintains a global perspective. Baralan provides services to over 60 nations through its Italian and U.S. manufacturing plants, backed by a broad array of sales branches and distributors.
Baralan’s comprehensive manufacturing approach rests on a foundational belief in innovation and sustainable design. The Group’s recent advances encompass novel 3D decorations, the growth of its DEA glass airless range, and an innovative spray pump appropriate for formulations devoid of alcohol and fragrances. Its adaptable and modular offerings—like refill containers, secure inner receptacles, and powder distributors—demonstrate its pledge to lessen waste and encourage recyclability, aligning with a more ecological concept of beauty.
Glass persists as a fundamental element of Baralan’s identity. The firm persists in introducing new features through miniature bottles, roll-on applicators, and precise applicators suitable for skincare and makeup products, all conceived, constructed, and assessed within Italy.
“This endorsement strengthens our position as representatives of Italian ingenuity and excellence on a global scale, delivering top-notch products with zeal and attentiveness,” stated Caroline Baranes, Chief Business Officer at Baralan. “We are committed to the future of beauty as a tribute to both inventiveness and skilled artisanship.”
Presently, Baralan states it has over 1,600 current items within its selection and services over 1,100 clients across the world. The enterprise employs 300 individuals.
