The New York-headquartered beauty and personal care brands incubator Maesa has sold its European and Middle Eastern operations (EMEA) to Knowlton Development Corporation (KDC/One), a leading provider of custom formulation, packaging design and manufacturing solutions for beauty, personal care and home care brands.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The new organization will combine KDC/One’s packaging and formulation capabilities with Maesa EMEA’s ability to develop storytelling, innovative designs and on-trend products.
This transaction comes at a time when Maesa is doubling down on its high-growth global brands, including Kristin Ess, Being Frenshe Hairitage by Mindy McKnight and Fine’ry, and its portfolio of fragrances created for some iconic fashion brands and retailers.
