Here’s a surprise friendship to start your week with: Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet were spotted shopping at the Upper West Side’s Bed Bath & Beyond this weekend in New York City. An employee there sent her friend a photo they took with her, and the friend posted it on social media. It took off:

Chalamet and Zendaya are co-stars on Dune, which is in post-production now and will be out later this year. Clearly they hit it off so much during filming that they’re tight enough to do joint Bed Bath & Beyond shopping trips now.
Zendaya was last seen out at the Critics’ Choice Awards last weekend. She was nominated there for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her work as Rue in Euphoria. While she didn’t win the award, she was considered one of the best dressed at the ceremony in her Tom Ford breastplate and matching skirt.
Zendaya discussed how much playing Rue, a teen drug addict freshly out of rehab, changed her. In ELLE’s November 2019 issue, the actress explained that “I think Euphoria taught me a lot about myself. It made me more confident in my own abilities, because I doubted myself a lot.” Before the show, she admitted, she didn’t have any work that pushed her or allowed her to be creative.
“I was looking for something to prove I can do it,” she continued. “Euphoria served as that, in the healthiest way. I never want to plateau as an actress—I always want to be able to explore and push myself. [Being an actress] brings me to places and makes me do things I’d probably never do because I’m such an introverted person.”
