Kate Middleton on Why She and Prince William Won’t Have Fourth Baby

The British tabloids can quit with the Kate Middleton royal baby watch headlines now: the Duchess of Cambridge personally gave an update on where exactly she and her husband Prince William stand on having a fourth child. It’s not happening, at least not now. Kate was asked during her Bradford walkabout whether she and William were thinking of expanding their family with another baby. “I don’t think William wants any more,” Kate replied, via Hello!.

Kate and William have three children: Prince George, 6; Princess Charlotte, 4; and Prince Louis, 1. Rumors of a fourth baby really picked up when Kate admitted she was feeling “broody” when meeting a five-month-old baby in Ballymena last February.

“He’s gorgeous. It makes me feel broody,” she told the baby’s dad. The father asked about the possibility of baby #4 then, and Kate made it clear that William wasn’t into the idea. She laughed and said, “I think William might be slightly worried.”

The Duchess of Cambridge is a very hands-on mother who’s adored by her children. A source told ELLE.com last April that when Kate returns home from royal engagements or work, Prince George and Princess Charlotte “come running out the front door and they’re like, ‘Mummy, mummy, mummy.’ Nanny’s in the door, but they don’t care because Mummy’s come home. They’re so excited that their mum is back from wherever.”

Kate recently admitted that Prince Louis is a mommy’s boy too during a December event. “You remind me of my little Louis, he keeps saying, ‘Me, me, me,’” she said to a group of schoolchildren who were picking out a Christmas tree with her. “And he wants to come everywhere with me!”
