Selena Gomez and Hailey Baldwin were in the same room on Saturday night, and the occasion led fans to create some fake drama. The rumors were so bad, Gomez spoke out against trolls bullying Baldwin’s friend Madison Beer for being with Baldwin that night.
What exactly happened? Gomez was out at Craig’s in Los Angeles on Saturday night, celebrating the release of Rare. Her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Baldwin was there at the same time, having dinner with friends, including Beer. A false rumor circulated on Twitter that Beer and Baldwin provoked Gomez. Beer didn’t say hi to Gomez, the account alleged, and Baldwin was talking about Bieber and screaming her husband’s name with her group when the staff started playing Gomez’s music. This didn’t happen, but some fans became convinced it may have when Gomez unfollowed Beer on Instagram.

Some started harassing Beer on the platform. Beer tweeted (and has since deleted), “nothin like waking up and being told to kill yourself.” She also wrote on Innstagram, “These rumors are gettin insane. I just had dinner with my friend Hailey of ten years. And that’s it? How is that a crime? I love Selena… Always have. (As y’all know.) And I would literally never in a million years try to upset her??? This is just mean and unnecessary and nothing happened. It was just a coincidence, you’re bullying me for no reason…”

Then Gomez commented on Beer’s latest Instagram to make it clear she accidentally unfollowed Beer, and there’s no drama. She has since refollowed Beer on Instagram.
She wrote to fans trolling the singer, “This is disgusting reading all of this. This wasn’t intentional whatsoever. I’m so disappointed that people would speak to this. I have known Madison since she was a baby and watched her continue to become the woman she is. There is no issue.”
