Based on recent science research on the brain-to-skin axis and building on its latest awarded cosmetic ingredient launches, Clariant has developed a holistic beauty concept dubbed “The Joyolist”.
As consumers focus on mental health and solutions that can help inspire them to relax and feel happy, Clariant addresses this quest for holistic wellness with two formulations using its latest ingredient launches under the concept ‘The Joyologist’. Thus, the ‘Feel-Good Magic Stick’ and the ‘Forget It All Relaxing Mask’ promote inner wellness and can be used complementary in a daily routine “to bring joy to the skin and the mood.“
Clariant’s new skincare concept was named after the findings of a Beautystreams report titled Joyology 2021-2026. “Self-care is hugely important, especially in a world full of troubling news that affect our mental well-being,” says Amandine Werle, a marketing specialist for Clariant Actives & Natural Origins and one of the minds behind The Joyologist. “Consumers look for ways to take better care of themselves, and beauty rituals are big part of that. Treating your skin with products that provide sensations of comfort can help improve the mood by stimulating the release of feel-good molecules such as serotonin and melatonin. This, in turn, positively impacts the skin and starts a virtuous cycle.“
