Porsha Williams teased what kind of drama fans can expect going into Season 13 of ‘RHOA,’ which she described as the season of ‘friendship’ in an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife.
Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is “really about friendship,” which Porsha Williams, 39, EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife. This is both good and bad, which the Bravo star elaborated on ahead of the new season’s premiere on Dec. 6. “It kind of goes up and down,” Porsha admitted after we asked who she may have quarrels with in these upcoming episodes. She explained, “Being a good, genuine friend, or being a fake friend — that kind of goes up and down as we discover different things about the ladies and get put into situations.”

And as for Porsha? “I honestly have had ups and downs with more than a few [friends],” Porsha confessed. With that said, it’s safe to expect some drama in this upcoming season — which Porsha assured HollywoodLife there will be. It’s “an equal balance” of everything, as Porsha said. This season is deviating from the usual dramas to also focus on social justice issues like the Black Lives Matter movement, which led Porsha to be arrested twice as she protested to demand justice for Breonna Taylor this past summer.

“This season is showing our reality, but yes, it is absolutely reflective of what we’re living in and the circumstance that we’re in right now with the pandemic, with all the social injustice going on, the unrest that we’re dealing with the rest of the country and the world,” Porsha told us. However, the Bravo star added that the new season will show all areas of her life. “It really does show all parts of where I am and where the world is right now, to me,” the mother of Pilar Jhena McKinley, 20 mos., said.
Outside of RHOA, Porsha launched a new podcast called Porsha 4 Real with her mom, Diane, and sister, Lauren, as co-hosts on Nov. 18! “A lot of people have enjoyed us on The Housewives, our fun and just realness,” Porsha told HollywoodLife, referring to her mom’s and sister’s cameos on RHOA. This led Porsha to an epiphany. “I’m like, ‘You know? Let’s do a podcast. Let’s use that as a space where we can talk about everything’,” Porsha recalled. Now that she’s half a month into the podcast, Porsha revealed what she especially loves about this new project. “One of my most favorite parts of the show is when we do ‘Ask Us Anything’ and our listeners can ask myself some stuff, my mom, my sister and it is just some wild stuff that I found out about my mom and my sister on the podcast,” Porsha told us. “It’s just like a safe space to be for real.”
You can tune into Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo at 8/7 p.m. Central, which premieres on Dec. 6.
