The Louisiana rapper, who was shot in the leg on November 14, in Dallas, while paying respects to fellow rapper Mo3, who was killed in the same location just days prior, is showing off his gunshot wounds to promote his latest song “Lost For Words.”

Initially, rumors regarding the severity of his injuries circulated on-line, with many believing his leg may have been amputated. But fortunately, after multiple surgeries, including one to remove the bullet fragments from his foot, his leg was saved.

Since leaving the hospital last month, Boosie has been busy. Not only has the “Wipe Me Down” rapper been working on new music, he even hosted a wild Thanksgiving party in Charleston, South Carolina on November 27.
The rapper, who had one leg elevated and wrapped in bandages, as he sat in his wheelchair, still managed to put on a performance. During the party, held at the Exquis Event Center, there didn’t appear to be any COVID-19 precautions in place.

Boosie’s recent hospitalization was not his first. Five years ago he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The rapper revealed the news to his fans in an Instagram post on Nov. 25, 2015. “I need all my fans to pray for me,” Lil Boosie captioned a photo of himself eating on Instagram. “Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys.”Less than two weeks later he underwent surgery to have the cancer removed from his kidney and quickly shared the news on his Instagram page. “I want to thank each and everyone for all the support and love! Surgery went well..God is good! Next step recovery! Cancer has been removed from Boosie kidney,” he wrote.Boosie made headlines for a different reason, in February 2020 when he made transphobic comments about Dwyane Wade’s 12-year-old transgender daughter, Zaya. The rapper made the offensive comments after the NBA star confirmed that Zaya identifies as female. “Dwyane Wade, you’ve gone too f–king far, bro,” Boosie said in an Instagram video. Despite receiving tons of Backlash the “Nasty, Nasty” rapper refused to apologize for his comments.
