Irène Gosset hands over to Xavier Gagey at the head of Groupe Pochet

Xavier Gagey was appointed as Chairman of the Groupe Pochet Management Board. He succeeds Irène Gosset, who is stepping down as Group Chairman and member of the Executive Committee.

Irène Gosset, Chairman of the Groupe Pochet Management Board since 2009, will be retiring from her position on September 1, 2024. Daughter of Henri Colonna de Giovellina, former Chairman and CEO of Pochet, Irene Gosset joined the Groupe Pochet in 2005 as Legal Director, then took over the reins of the Group following the retirement of her brother Gabriel Colonna de Giovellina in 2009.

Laurence Vivant, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Groupe Pochet since 2009, has also decided to step down. Her replacement will be announced by the end of 2024. Mrs Vivant is the daughter of Jean Colonna de Giovellina, former Industrial Director of Pochet.

New generation

Laurence and Irene are descendants of Jean-Baptiste Prosper Pochet, the company’s founder. These departures of the 8th generation of the shareholding family are concomitant to the appointment to the Group’s Management Committee of two members of the 9th generation of the family: Francois Blond, Corporate Finance Director and CFO of Qualipac, and Alexis Gosset, Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Group.

Irène Gosset is an exceptional leader who has accompanied the evolution and transformation of the Pochet Group for nearly 20 years. She has pursued the expansion of the Pochet Group’s multi-material offering and preserved the Group’s unique know-how, which today is recognized by our customers worldwide. Endowed with a unique strategic vision and a deep commitment to employees, she has played a key role in making Groupe Pochet a world-renowned company,” said Xavier Gagey, Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Pochet.

Groupe Pochet is a family-owned industrial company founded in France in 1623, now present on three continents with over 3,000 employees. The group produces glass, plastic, metal packaging, as well as accessories and makes finishing operations for the perfume, skincare and make-up markets.
