The multinational fragrance company Eurofragance has reinforced the structure of its management team by appointing Clara Mena to the position of Chief Operations Officer and creating two new positions: Chief Market Officer and Chief Business Development Officer, which will be held by Joan Pere Jiménez and Olegario Monegal respectively.
While the company is currently implementing the first stage of its new 2024-2027 strategic plan, the aim of this new organization, according to Eurofragance, is to promote collaboration between regions and to support regional customers in their international rollout.
New strategic plan
In particular, the company has made significant changes to ensure greater discipline during periods of rapid growth and to optimize project allocation to existing resources.
Clara Mena’s role as the new Chief Operations Officer will be crucial in strengthening the supply chain and operations to meet growing global demand and maintaining a high level of customer service. Given the company’s sales growth, one of her main responsibilities will be to lead the expansion of critical manufacturing plants in different parts of the world.
Meanwhile, the Chief Market Officer will be responsible for ensuring that Eurofragance meets its financial targets for 2027. To that end, Joan Pere Jiménez, who is appointed to this newly created position, will be tasked with establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) in the eight subsidiaries, and driving integrated customer relationship management (CRM) and the global deployment of sales and operations planning (S&OP).
In his new role as Chief Business Development Officer, Olegario Monegal will be responsible to establishing Eurofragance as a partner of choice for leading regional and international consumer goods companies. Monegal will direct the global business units (Fine Fragrance and Home & Personal Care) and the marketing team and will focus on the commercial strategy for key potential and strategic customers.
Additionally, Balwinder Rolley will assume the role of General Manager for the Asia Pacific region, taking up the challenge of supporting regional expansion in line with the new strategic plan. Her experience and leadership will be important to achieving the plan’s objectives.
“We have seen how effectively merging our regional and global approaches has allowed us to define and execute successful strategies,” says Laurent Mercier, the company’s CEO. “Today, we are embarking on a new plan in sound financial health, with tried-and-tested efficiency models and clear expansion goals. Our aim is to become more competitive and ensure sustainable growth in an increasingly demanding and dynamic environment.”
