Give your products to a good cause.
A new decade is arriving and with it comes the question: Do I really need six cooling face masks in my nightstand? As 2019 winds to a close and 2020 resolutions loom, it’s the ideal time to clean out those makeup drawers and donate that eyeshadow palette or lipstick you’ll never use.
Spread the magic that is Fenty Beauty to those less fortunate with the help of these six organizations.
Beauty Bus
Beauty Bus delivers at-home beauty services and product packages to terminally ill patients and their caregivers. Donate new and unopened products that are at least six months from their expiration date. Unaccepted items include perfumes, deodorants, makeup bags, and razors.
Dress for Success
In addition to providing professional clothing for women ahead of a job interview, Dress for Success also offers cosmetics and toiletries. All donations must be new, unopened, and within six months from the expiration date.

Los Angeles LGBT Center
Since 2017, the Los Angeles LGBT Center has accepted unused cosmetic and personal hygiene products for transgender and gender non-conforming people. Hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons created the initiative, which distributes donated products to the Center’s Transgender Economic Empowerment Project (TEEP) and other clients of organizations serving the trans community. Donations will benefit a group of people with higher rates of poverty, particularly trans women of color.
Share Your Beauty
This organization, headquartered in the New York area, donates beauty products to women and teens in crisis. Items should be new, unopened, unexpired and cannot be flammable. A sample of brands donated to the company includes Elizabeth Arden, L’Occitane, and Tarte Cosmetics.
Project Beauty Share
This organization will donate your unwanted beauty products to charities that serve marginalized women in communities across the country. Project Beauty Share accepts everything from feminine hygiene products to skincare. However, all lipsticks must be new. Additionally powdered items without a seal or items with a used wand will not be accepted.

Your Local Women’s Shelter
One direct way to give back in your community is by searching for local women’s shelters. This site lists area shelters in each state, where you can find information about which toiletries, cosmetics, and skincare items are needed as well as donation restrictions.
