See Photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s Royal Christmas Debut

The big moment royal watchers were highly anticipating is here: Kate Middleton and Prince George’s two oldest kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have made their royal Christmas debut at six and four, respectively. The two joined their parents, grandfather Prince Charles, and their great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II for Christmas morning service in Norfolk. They are spending the holidays with the royal family at the Queen’s Sandringham estate.

Charlotte matched her mom in a double-breasted coat while George was in a navy suit. They were all serious in the photos taken. The two held their parents’ hands while walking.

The two’s rumored appearance was first reported by The Sun. A royal source told the outlet that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge felt ready to take their kids out. “It will be so sweet,” the source gushed. “George and Charlotte will make their Christmas debut, as long as they’re both on good form on the day. It’s the picture all royal fans want to see. The royals walking to church on Christmas Day is a rite of passage and so William and Kate didn’t want to expose their children too early, but they feel they’re old enough now.”

Ahead of George and Charlotte’s big morning with the Queen, their parents released a new portrait with them that Kate took earlier this year. Their little brother Prince Louis appears too. Kate and William posted the photo on their Kensington Palace Instagram account at midnight Christmas morning in the UK.

“🎄 Merry Christmas!” they captioned the photo. “This photograph of The Duke of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge in Norfolk earlier this year. We wish all our followers a very happy and relaxing Christmas Day ⛄️”
