Selena Gomez remained hard at work on her upcoming Hulu series Only Murders in the Building on Saturday, and paparazzi got another look at her character’s excellent wardrobe on the show. Gomez was photographed on set in a leather mini skirt, tricolor sweater, sheer black tights, mustard boots, and a light blue face mask. Gomez looked great, with her hair curled and center-parted:
It stands in stark contrast to Gomez’s on-set photos from later that day, where she appeared in character, with her sweater drenched in fake blood. Her character was seemingly under arrest:
Gomez has been shooting Only Murders in the Building for most of 2021. Not a lot has come out about the series yet, which also stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. Short spoke in August 2020 to the Daily Beast about the show’s plot though. “It’s about three people who live in one of those upscale apartment buildings in New York,” he said. “They see each on the elevator, they kind of nod, but they never really speak. They don’t even know each other’s names. And then you find out that each one of them goes to their individual apartments and just turns on true crime and obsesses. And then one time they’re in the elevator with this fourth person. And they find out that fourth person is killed and they’re determined to solve it. But they make a pact: only murders in the building will they solve. Because they can’t be bothered to go outside.”
Gomez shared a little about the show’s vibe on her Instagram Live on February: “The show is actually really fun,” she said. “It’s kind of a dramedy, so there’s moments that are real and then there are other moments that are complete chaos and hilarious. I’m working with Steve Martin and Martin Short and if you don’t know their work, by the way, they’re pretty amazing people to be around.”
