Taylor Swift put out a previously-unreleased Fearless breakup song, “Mr. Perfectly Fine” that had Twitter reeling over Swift’s scathing lyrics, seemingly about her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas. As Jonas trended on Twitter, his wife Sophie Turner posted her candid take about the song on her Instagram Story. She was far from upset about it.
Sharing a screenshot of herself listening to the track, she wrote, “it’s not NOT a bop.”
Sophie Turner’s reaction to Taylor Swift’s Joe Jonas song
Swift reposted Turner’s reaction, adding her own comment: “forever bending the knee for the 👑 of the north.”
Jonas, meanwhile, didn’t mention the song at all on his Instagram. Instead, he posted a shot of himself outside, golfing. Call it his way of saying he’s unbothered:
Swift’s song roasts Jonas and his nonchalant attitude following their 2008 relationship and breakup. Its chorus, for example, is “hello Mr. ‘Perfectly fine’/How’s your heart after breaking mine?/Mr. ‘Always at the right place at the right time,’ baby/Hello Mr. ‘Casually cruel’/Mr. ‘Everything revolves around you’/I’ve been Miss ‘Misery’ since your goodbye/And you’re Mr. ‘Perfectly fine.’” The entire lyrics can be seen here.

Jonas broke up with Swift over the phone in October 2008 after they started dating in July of that year. Swift called Jonas out for the way he broke up with her during her November 2008 interview with DeGeneres: When talking about finding someone new and better to date, Swift said, “It’s like when I find that person, that is right for me and he’ll be wonderful, and when I look at that person, I’m not even going to be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.”

When she was 29, Swift told DeGeneres that the most rebellious thing she did as a teenager was “probably when I put Joe Jonas on blast on your show. That was too much. Yeah, that was too much. I was 18. We laugh about it now. That was mouthy, yeah, teenage stuff there.”
Jonas reacted to Swift expressing her regrets shortly after she made the comment in June 2019. Jonas said on ITV’s Lorraine show that hearing it, “it did feel nice. It’s something that I probably was feeling pretty bad about when I was younger, but at the end of the day, like, I’ve moved on. I’m sure Taylor’s moved on, and it feels nice, and we’re all friends, and it’s all good. We were so young.”
