Following Kylie Jenner’s statement on her big makeup artist GoFundMe drama, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner was back to business as usual on her social media yesterday. On her Instagram, Jenner did a photo dump of some fashion and life photos, including one of her wearing the trippiest optical-illusion black and nude jumpsuit-blazer piece. Jenner hasn’t given many interviews in the last year, but she spoke to Harper’s Bazaar for its March 2020 issue about growing up in the spotlight and the moment she recognized the power she had. “Probably more when I was on the red carpet with Kim [Kardashian],” she told the outlet. “I always knew my family was a big deal, but me, solo, probably around when my pop-ups started. Or when I started dyeing my hair blue and cut my hair off, and then everyone started dyeing their hair blue and cutting it off. And I was like, ‘Whoa.’ I realized what an influence I had. I was probably like 16.”
She also said that because her father, Caitlyn Jenner (then Bruce Jenner) was a famous Olympic athlete, she grew up exposed to the spotlight. She’d go on to appear on Keeping Up With the Kardashians throughout her late childhood and adolescence.
“Even before the show, my dad always had an audience, so I was always around that energy,” she said. “I don’t know. I think it’s a blessing, the way it happened so early, because I don’t really know what it would be like to not be famous or in the limelight.”
