Kate Middleton’s younger sister Pippa has welcomed her second child. People reports that Pippa gave birth today to a daughter, whom she named Grace Elizabeth Jane Matthews.
A family source told the outlet that Grace was born around 4:22 a.m. this morning (London time) and weighed 6lbs, 7oz. Pippa and Grace are doing well, the source added.
“She’s perfect, everyone is overjoyed at such a happy arrival,” the source said.
Grace shares a middle name with her royal aunt. The Duchess of Cambridge’s full name is Catherine Elizabeth Middleton.
Pippa has one son, two-year-old Arthur Michael William Matthews.
The arrival of Pippa’s second child comes one day after Mother’s Day in the U.K. Kate and Prince William marked the holiday on their Kensington Palace Instagram account by sharing the cake that their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis made for Kate.
“Celebrating two other special mothers today ❤️,” Kensington Palace captioned the shot, which also featured a picture of Kate as a child with her and Pippa’s mother Carole Middleton. “🎂 made by George, Charlotte and Louis.”
The couple also shared cards George, Charlotte, and Louis made for their late grandmother Princess Diana. They captioned the gallery of the notes:
This year Mother’s Day will be different once again. Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again. But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging. Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William.Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day 💐
