In a new interview, Justin Bieber opens up about his plans for kids with Hailey Baldwin — including how many they want, why they’re not rushing it and more!
Justin Bieber, 26, is letting Hailey Baldwin, 24, take the reigns when it comes to the pair starting a family together. “I’m going to have as many [kids] as Hailey is wishing to push out,” he said on the Dec. 1 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I’d love to have myself a little tribe, but it’s her body, so whatever she wants to do.”
He also clarified that he thinks Hailey wants to have “a few” kids, but it won’t be happening any time soon. “There’s not really an issue, but I think Hailey still has some things she wants to accomplish as a woman,” Justin explained. “I think she’s just not ready yet and I think that’s okay.”
In October, Justin and Hailey covered Vogue Italia together, and Hailey opened up about her feelings on the subject. justin”The strange thing is, I’ve always wanted to have children early,” the model admitted. “But now that I’m married, I feel less of an urge. I am an ambitious girl with many projects. It will happen, but not now.”

Justin and Hailey have known each other for years, and they first dated at the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016. After going their separate ways, they spent quite a bit of time not speaking before reconnecting in 2018. Their renewed friendship eventually turned romantic again that spring, and Justin proposed to Hailey in July. They secretly tied the knot in a courthouse just two months later. However, it wasn’t until Sept. 2019 that they celebrated their nuptials with a lavish ceremony and reception, where they were joined by their closest family and friends.
Now that the two have officially been married for two years, though, they’re continuing to take the time to get to know each other and embrace life as a married couple. They’ve basically been inseparable since tying the knot, and have gotten even closer amidst the coronavirus quarantine. Justin’s 2020 tour got cancelled due to restrictions on gatherings during the pandemic, which allowed him and Hailey to “take a step back and focus on each other,” he explained in October. “That was a beautiful thing.”
