Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Want to Get Married After COVID-19 Crisis

It’s been four years since The Voice judges Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani confirmed they were dating in December 2015. Now, Us Weekly reports, the two are ready to get married. The coronavirus pandemic made them certain of it.

A source told the outlet that “COVID-19 has turned their world upside down, as it has with so many families. Gwen knows she is blessed and wants to have the wedding as soon as social distancing guidelines are lifted.” As the source put it: “Gwen didn’t wait this long to get married just to have her family watch on Zoom.”

Stefani and Shelton are not yet engaged. Us previously reported that Stefani had been waiting to marry Shelton while seeking an annulment of her marriage to Gavin Rossdale so she and Shelton could wed in the Catholic Church. But after going through the COVID-19 crisis with Shelton, Stefani’s stance softened.

“Gwen and Blake both believe the bond they share is stronger than anything they’ve ever experienced before,” a source told the outlet. “When they say their vows this time around, it’ll feel like the first time for both of them because they’ve never had this kind of soulmate synergy with anyone else.”

Us reports that Shelton and Stefani will likely wed in Oklahoma, at Shelton’s ranch there. “There will be a few dozen of their closest friends and family, but Gwen doesn’t see the need for anything huge in terms of numbers,” a source said.
