But today, her son Cruz shared a rare shot of Victoria smiling on his Instagram. And her husband David Beckham’s reaction was to make fun of Victoria for her bright white smile. Really, David?
“Apparently my mum does smile 😃❤️,” Cruz captioned his post, which Victoria liked.
“How white are mums @victoriabeckham teeth ? 🦷 it’s Ross from friends 😂,” David commented. Victoria did not like or respond to that comment, understandably.

Victoria has more seriously spoken about her reluctance to smile in photographs during an interview with Glamour UK last year. She said she’s just starting to embrace herself and feel comfortable enough to smile publicly and let her guard down. “I want to be honest,” she started. “In the past, I’ve probably hidden behind my armor—the not smiling publicly, for instance. There’s less of that now.”
“There’s something really liberating about embracing who I am at 45 years old and owning it, feeling confident, feeling content,” she continued. “Doing beauty has really helped with that—it’s been very liberating. I want to spread the word that everybody should feel like the best version of themselves. To look after what you have. I want to tell people to own who you are. Yes, we—and I—have wrinkles, and that’s okay!”
