Latest humanitarian venture of UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie in Kherson
News outlets indicate that Jolie made a trip to Kherson medical facilities, notably a maternity ward and a pediatric hospital. An official statement regarding her presence is still pending; however, this is not the actress’s initial journey to Ukraine.

It’s worth remembering that Angelina Jolie previously came to Ukraine in April 2022 to gain firsthand knowledge of the requirements of children impacted by the war. During that visit, she went to a hospital treating youngsters wounded by bombardments and explosions, a center catering to children and adolescents with special needs, and engaged with displaced families and volunteers.

A source from The Daily Mail reported Angelina’s reflections on that experience:
“I am in awe of the strength, bravery, and self-respect of the Ukrainian populace. Witnessing the devastation that conflict has inflicted upon a whole cohort of Ukrainian children is heartbreaking.”
Furthermore, this May, Angelina Jolie voiced her solidarity for Ukrainian creatives during the Trophée Chopard awards at the Cannes Film Celebration. In her address, she paid tribute to the memory of artists who have perished due to wars and crises worldwide, specifically mentioning Ukrainian author Victoria Amelin.
