Nicolas Beaulieu: Symrise’s New VP Senior Perfumer, Formerly of IFF

Symrise Fine Fragrance has revealed the nomination of Nicolas Beaulieu as Vice-President Senior Perfumer, commencing October 6th, 2025.

Educated at ISIPCA and the IFF Perfumery School, Nicolas Beaulieu has been stationed in diverse places, like New York and Shanghai, before his comeback to Paris in 2008. He most recently occupied the position of Vice President Perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF).

Throughout his professional life, he has centered on the high-end market, creating scents like Rabanne Invictus Legend, Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Le Parfum and numerous variations of La Vie Est Belle.

His joining reinforces the Paris creative center as a foundation of Symrise’s worldwide plan in luxury perfumery, (…) during a period of considerable upswing,” declared the firm in a press release.

Beyond the world of scent, his passions for food, wine, and history function as extra wellsprings of creativity for his creations. Initially attracted to archaeology and science, Nicolas Beaulieu often depicts himself as a “scent archaeologist,” aiming to uncover the strata of intricacy concealed within each component. His work is fueled by a wish to astonish, to form the unforeseen.

Nicolas’s onboarding is a strong declaration of Symrise’s aspiration in fine fragrance. His artistic aptitude will be vital to boosting our expansion in the premium sector, and the ideal inspiration to establish fresh benchmarks for the field,” stated Julianne Pruett, Global President of Symrise Fine Fragrance.
