For the illustration on the October 27, 2025, edition about Finances, the illustrator Christoph Niemann sought to depict the manner in which the exceedingly wealthy remit a strikingly small percentage of their earnings as taxes. In dialogue, Niemann voiced another objection, stemming from his solely artistic viewpoint as a creator: “What’s the deal with the immature casual wear donned in the tech industry? These are (mostly) adult individuals possessing unlimited capital. Can’t they clothe themselves suitably?” he questioned. “Until they establish a distinctive, quintessential affluent style, I’ll simply adhere to the ‘top hat, striped slacks, and gaiters’ ensemble within my artworks.”
