Justin Bieber’s ‘Yummy’ Video Features the Most Decadent Meal

Justin Bieber released his first single in four years, “Yummy,” at midnight Friday morning. The song, which is believed to be about his wife, Hailey Bieber (Baldwin) and how much he loves her, is now accompanied by a music video, which Bieber released at noon Eastern Standard Time.

As the video opens, it immediately looks as if Bieber is at a country club in the 1980s, full of rich elderly people who live to spend their money. The video shows scenes of obscene wealth, overdone interior design, and meals very high in calories and cost.

In the first shot, Bieber, wearing a light pink hoodie from his fashion line, Drew House, sits down at a table full of desserts. Surrounding him, there’s big hair, thick glasses, people chowing down on all kinds of excellent-looking carbs. Bieber also dances in his seat with a big lobster but doesn’t eat it.

He ends up dancing on the table, covered with a clean white tablecloth, in a pink tank and gingham pants. The irony here is that everyone in this music video would never approve of a 25-year-old man in low-hanging pants dancing on their beautifully set table. But these people are dancing right along, happily. The video closes out with Bieber sitting, mostly alone, in this grand dining hall.

The video might just make you want to go back to your holiday diet of eating all day every day, but the song itself is hardly about cake and lobster. The lyrics are clearly about a relationship, namely the one he has with his wife. Lyrics such as “I’m elated that you are my lady” and “Fifty-fifty, love the way you split it; Hundred racks, help me spend it, babe; Light a match, get litty, babe” are about how the two are both financially self-made and support each other.

Seems like these two could share a lobster meal just about any time they want.
