For the cover of the August 4, 2025, issue, the artist Victoria Tentler-Krylov depicted the scene in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on a typical summer day. “The Met can be an escape from the elements, the noise, and the chaos of the city,” Tentler-Krylov said. “And, on brutally hot days, when the buildings across the street cast shadows on the steps, refuge can be found before even entering the museum.”
