Summer can seem as though it will go on forever. Then, come August, there’s suddenly a chill in the air, and you realize that the unbearably hot days are coming to an end. For the cover of the September 2, 2024, issue, Pascal Campion endeavored to capture the feelings brought out by shifts in temperature. “I am an avid biker. I bike everywhere I go, in any season,” Campion said. “During the summer, finding a shaded area to bike in is like heaven on earth.”
