What is the fate of love in marriage?

Is it really true that marriage kills love? This is likely a myth, completely unrelated to reality. Psychologists believe that love can be just as strong after 10 years of marriage.

New York researchers surveyed nearly a third of married couples. They found that of those who had been together for more than ten years, 40% still felt intense love for each other, while 26.2% retained only some degree of affection.
In the study, love was compared with behavioral traits such as positive thoughts about a partner, a desire to make love, and overall satisfaction with one's life.

The scientists' findings contradict the commonly held belief that feelings fade with age. The survey revealed that most couples remain deeply and passionately in love after a quarter of a century together. This figure was 40%. Those who have been married for just over 20 years, on the contrary, believe that their feelings are no longer the same.

For many men, love for their wives means they're completely consumed by their beloved woman. Women, on the other hand, don't consider such passionate affection a sign of a happy relationship.
