What is Lazy Day?

Everyone who works hard eventually gets tired. I suggest trying to organize Lazy Days periodically. It will help you relax and unwind. After one of these, I feel like I've just left a sanatorium. I simply glow from within. This phenomenon is explained simply: the body operates in a work-rest mode. And if you miss the second part, working yourself to the point of exhaustion, it will simply take revenge on you with early aging, wear and tear, and illness. In short, it's prevention!

This wonderful day has a few rules. The most important one is that no one should disturb you. NO ONE AND NOTHING! You warn your family, loved ones, and loved ones in advance that for one day you will be alone with yourself. Without them. That is, without anyone at all, all alone with yourself. Don't make excuses about why you can't do it – small children, hungry husbands, etc. Imagine you have to leave or, God forbid, get sick… Believe me, they can live without you for one day… At least one day! So, this issue has been resolved. I hope you'll be diplomatic – you'll be able to present this idea correctly and not provoke a scandal. Ultimately, this way, you will make people respect you and your freedom.

The main rule of this day is that you will do only what you WANT to do. EVERYTHING! It's up to you to indulge your desires. You allow yourself things you simply didn't have time to do on weekdays. If you've been wanting to get enough sleep, sleep as much as your body requires. You turn off all phones and cut off all contact with the outside world. No watching TV news. You need to try to banish anxious thoughts from your head. I understand that sometimes this is difficult, especially when you're worried about someone or something. You'll think about that tomorrow. But today is YOUR DAY! You are the complete master of your time. You don't need to rush anywhere. You treat yourself to all sorts of delicious treats—plan that in advance! If you enjoy relaxing music, turn it on and float on the waves of your dreams… I usually draw a warm bubble bath, release rose petals, light candles, put on some soft music and… just melt… I watch my favorite movies on DVD. Or read. Not a science book, as always… More often it's Bunin or Chekhov. The main thing is that you should get a lot of pleasant moments from each action. You should simply RELAX. I don't recommend going to stadiums or gyms on such a day. That's a completely different kind of relaxation. You need to RELEASE the stress.

My friend celebrates Pig Day. He doesn't even get out of bed. He doesn't brush his teeth. He doesn't wash his face. He eats in bed, watches movies, reads, and then goes back to sleep. Personally, I don't think that's a good idea. But everyone chooses for themselves.

I can't stand more than one day of this kind of relaxation – life calls. But even one such day a month is a huge plus for me. I usually do it after a series of intense training sessions. When you've given so much, you need to replenish your energy reserves. I gain strength from water and meditation. And tomorrow I'm back on track – alert and cheerful. I highly recommend organizing these little holidays for your soul and body for yourself! You can't organize such days together – that's a completely different matter.

Always be healthy and cheerful!
