What are the dangers of going blonde?

Having witnessed several times how a child born with blue eyes and blond hair grows up to be a brown-eyed brunette, I became intrigued by the connection between beauty, youth, and hair color. While we have no control over our eyes, curls can be lightened quite quickly.

I prefer to bleach my hair in the sun, while others use hydrogen peroxide or bleaches of unknown composition. In all cases, the result is not only the joy of change but also increased attention from men. They become noticeably bolder.

Comparing myself to a successful brunette, I noticed how easily she uses swear words. I can't do it at all; she does it all the time. Their voices and intonations are similar, but she's much more confident, even when she's spouting unimaginable nonsense. Is it because she swears, or because she's a brunette? Should I dye my hair or memorize a dictionary of modern slang? But why bother with a whole dictionary when you can get by with a couple of words: a derivative of a plant that's no sweeter than a radish, and another derivative, also from a plant that's also called a fig. Should we try? But no, it's not working. So I'll have to dye my hair.

Darker hair didn't add boldness—that wasn't a problem—but rather insolence. And people were clearly wary of speaking out against it. It was interesting. Are people afraid of brunettes? Why? Are they stronger?

Yes, perhaps that's true: brunettes are stronger, and therefore blondes are safer. It's understandable why men are noticeably bolder and more playful in their flirting with a girl with a light head. But a genuine blonde with a light head is quite rare. But there are plenty of those who pretend to be blondes. These are strong people who have made themselves look weak. But in reality, they haven't become any weaker. Where does the excess energy go if the fake blonde turns into a charming quiet woman? What happens to a couple if a man wanted to be with a safe and sophisticated being, but got something else?

There may be hidden conflicts. A profound, poorly understood dissatisfaction is not out of the question. It can arise for many reasons, and no one will associate it with hair color. And yet, when a fake blonde returns to her natural color, it's as if deception leaves the house and sincerity returns.

The fair-haired man is weaker. The weak are loved and pitied. No trickery can be expected from the weak. They can be loved safely, because the weak are not given to ulterior motives and vile calculations. But what happens if the weak shows strength? It might charm once or twice, but then the love will fade. A weak man who is not loved provokes aggression. A blonde who bares her teeth will begin to draw the ire of others upon herself.

The weak avoid evil without reacting to it, while the strong respond. The aggression of dyed blondes is well known. Evil cripples from within. The morbidity of dyed blondes is also well known.

To cure the most terrible diseases, it's not enough to stop bleaching your hair; recovery actually begins with stopping this habit. This is because people accustomed to being attractive only stop taking care of themselves when they're in dire straits, when the only options are death—or recovery.

You can avoid a crisis and return to your natural hair color while everything is still going well. Hair that seems deliberately designed to convey the wearer's energy will help you find your right place in the world. Aggression from others will cease to flow because they will become more cautious.

Or maybe hair is actually antennae, using which we detect something very important—no wonder long, thick hair is so prized? Bleaching disrupts the structure, and the antennae stop working.

Natural color doesn't affect anything, but unnatural color affects who knows how and who knows what. If you don't want to mess around with bleach and become “like everyone else,” you don't have to, and I sincerely sympathize with those who have bleached their hair.
