Scientific fact: the human brain is programmed to experience orgasm, regardless of sexual intercourse. Physicist Robert Lomas argues that evolution has enabled humans to experience orgasm without sex at all!
“The same mechanism that encourages us to spread our DNA is at work here, but you can achieve this without intercourse,” Lomas said. Only humans are capable of experiencing mental ecstasy, which is a complex set of rewarding behavioral patterns for self-reproduction triggered by arousal during sexual experience, and this is, in fact, what is called orgasm.
The brain's orgasmic response is triggered by hormones released through chemical or electrical stimulation, but drugs that can induce orgasm without sex are still a long way off.
“Artificially creating the right combination of neuropeptides is a very complex process. The body's tension and relaxation levels must be perfectly balanced for you to become aroused. It's like trying to balance a glass ball on the tip of a ballpoint pen,” the professor explained.
But Lomas says this doesn't mean people will give up sex in the future; they'll simply experience a new kind of orgasm—one without sex. Psychologist Cynthia McVey says that, starting in puberty, people experience orgasm without sexual contact during sleep: “During a nocturnal orgasm, there's essentially no sex involved.”
This demonstrates the power the mind has over the body. And sex itself was created by nature for the propagation of our species.” Surely, in the future, when drugs are developed to achieve orgasm without sex, we will also see our own “orgasmomaniacs.” But you must admit, no drug or medication can replace visual and kinesthetic sensations.
