Welcome summer fully prepared – you've decided, and are getting ready quickly. Becoming a well-groomed woman in five days is certainly difficult, but taking care of yourself and developing good habits – why not? So, for the first two days of our summer preparation, we focused on the following:
1. We went to the sauna , where masks and peels gave our skin a radiant glow.
2. We went on a diet – or rather, we started eating more vegetables, drinking water, and limiting ourselves to eating after 6 p.m.
3. Visit a solarium or use a self-tanner – whichever you prefer.
4. Started swimming or water aerobics. Started doing sit-ups and push-ups in the morning, right after a run. Signed up for a strength-training class—meaning, we introduced more movement into our lives than just toned our entire body.
5. Went for a massage. Or encouraged your significant other to get one.
We've accomplished so much in just two days. What new things should day three of summer preparation bring? So, you went swimming this morning, drank coffee, ate something healthy, and… I hope you made a salon appointment in advance? Because you'll have to get your hair done. And more. Summer is just around the corner, so the usual tinting of store-bought hair dye and applying it at home in front of the mirror will have to be put aside for now. Spend some money on:
1. Trim – even if you have long hair, you need to freshen up the ends. Short or medium-length hair simply needs to be shaped every four to five weeks.
2. Coloring – light highlights or a radical change of image, root touch-ups or colored strands – all this should be done by a professional, with high-quality dyes and skilled hands.
3. Hair treatment is optional and depends on financial situation.
In general, don't limit your imagination and allow yourself to try something you've been hesitant about for a while. From personal experience, I used to do a light carving on my shoulder-length hair every summer. It gives my hair volume and fullness, and in the morning, all it takes is a spritz of curl spray, and tight curls are guaranteed all day long. Your hairstyle won't lose its charm even if you get caught in a summer rain—it'll just take on a “wet curls” effect. It's important to do the procedure correctly to avoid spending a long time repairing damaged strands and trimming off damaged ends.
My friend has made it a summer habit to wear zi-zi braids—a type of hair extension made with artificial strands that look like long, twisted noodles. I think it's very striking and unusual. I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to experiment with your hairstyle—braids made from your own hair, avant-garde haircuts… A good hairstylist will be able to tell you what's right for you.
When choosing a summer hairstyle, the key criteria should be a combination of comfort and beauty. This means the hairstyle should be easy to style, and the color should be resistant to sunlight and water. And you should be confident that the chosen style, shade, and hair length suit you.
Another detail of your summer look – flawless. Ahead is your evening vegetable salad and kefir. Congratulations, don't let your guard down, day four is upon us.
