
Summer is coming, and we're all looking forward to the season of whirlwind dates, fleeting flirtations, and casual sexual encounters. This means it's time to get in shape, and the first thing you should start with is getting in shape and losing that winter belly.
Here are some tips for those who want a flat stomach but don't have the time or opportunity to get to the gym.
1. Walk with your back straight and your stomach pulled in. There's a concept called “muscle memory,” and if you pay attention to how you walk or sit, you'll soon notice significant changes.
2. Don't forget to drink water. If your body doesn't get the hydration it needs, it begins to store it, especially in your stomach!
3. Monitor how often you go to the bathroom. This is equally important. For “serious” reasons, you absolutely MUST go once a day!
4. Chew your food thoroughly. This will help your stomach digest it more effectively. Your brain will also have time to signal that you're full, meaning you can eat less!
5. Use prebiotics at least once a week to prevent flatulence.
6. Walk to and from work if possible. And generally, walk more. It's a great way to burn extra calories.
7. Don't chew gum. It helps push excess air into your stomach.
8. Take calcium and vitamin D. This will help you maintain normal estrogen (the female hormone), as excess estrogen in the body causes weight gain.
9. Try Japanese exercises. Lie on your back and place a rolled-up towel under your lower back. I think you'll like this tip the most!
