Ecosexuals: a new movement

Just when we had gotten used to bisexuals, homosexuals, transsexuals, and, finally, metrosexuals with crazy haircuts and same-sex marriages, new fighters for healthy sex – ecosexuals – came to the forefront of the erotic front.

What sets them apart from everyone else is that they are primarily concerned with issues of carbon emissions, waste management, and animal cruelty – not in the way you might think, given the topic of conversation.

Men and women choose those who, like them, do not use products that are harmful to the environment and animals, whether it is shampoo tested on rabbits, meat or wool.

But it's not just about cosmetics, food and clothing.

A committed ecosexual has major problems with barrier contraception. Did you know, for example, that condoms are made with casein? It's a milk protein found in latex. A committed ecosexual doesn't consume dairy products. Furthermore, special additives prevent latex from decomposing in nature for a long time. Hundreds of millions of rubber products end up in our plastic bags every year, delighting our eyes for years. Polyurethane-based condoms are even worse because
Polyurethane production is toxic, and it doesn't degrade at all. Contraceptives made from sheepskin are completely environmentally friendly, but, as you can imagine, they don't fit into any environmentally friendly approach. True, casein-free latex has already been produced; cocoa powder is added instead—how wonderful! Only at first glance: this substitution makes latex less durable.

Hormonal contraception isn't so simple either. All this synthetic estrogen, which is eventually excreted from the body and ends up in the water, reduces the number of male fish and, consequently, their reproduction.

Things get a bit simpler from here. Eco-friendly sex toys shouldn't be tested on animals (except humans!), contain animal products, or pollute the environment. Therefore, the industry offers eco-friendly sex toys a variety of rubber, glass, wood, and tin… in other words, stone products for intimate use. Those who like it hotter can opt for recyclable, solar-powered vibrators. If you prefer to keep your toy out of direct sunlight, don't forget to buy rechargeable batteries. One company even offers to recycle your old toy and get a new one for half price.

S&M enthusiasts will face some challenges. Unfortunately, they'll have to choose between environmentally unfriendly latex and ethically unacceptable leather.

But bamboo sheets, hemp silk underwear, and natural aphrodisiacs—ginseng, kava kava, rhodiola rosea, and epimedium (which is probably why it's called “horny goat's herb” in English, and that's no joke)—will help ignite the flames of passion.

There are many other ways to spice up your sex life; human imagination is truly limitless. Foreplay is a good place to start. Taking a shower or bath together saves water. However, when it comes time to get down to business, remember to turn off the tap and move to the bedroom to avoid wasting water. In winter, instead of turning up the heater, make passionate love, and you'll warm up before you know it. And, of course, a classic romantic candlelit dinner will not only set the right mood but also save energy.

Ecosexuals can find more than just like-minded individuals on specialized dating sites. They can also find a porn site with an untranslatable name that donates a portion of its profits to a forest conservation fund, as well as a unique vegetarian porn site whose photos and videos feature only vegans. The site's mission statement states that it is not based on size, age, weight, or skin color, but on ethical choice!

Let's not be hypocrites. What causes greater damage to nature: the irreversible deforestation of Brazilian forests for biofuel corn fields or natural silk underwear?

Perhaps only a hermit in a mountain monastery could call his sex life completely safe for the environment, because even the most natural sex itself is dangerous for it.

After all, as a result of it, another malicious destroyer of nature is born.
